Leading with Rhythm, Not Balance Series

Devotional 5 of 7

man speaking at conference

Matthew 9:32-34

A miracle occurs and instead of celebration, accusation follows. Jesus does not respond emotionally. He does not recalibrate His approach to appease critics.

High-level leaders understand this reality well:

  • Results do not silence all resistance

  • Visibility invites interpretation

  • Influence attracts projection

Jesus teaches that leadership maturity is measured not by popularity, but by stability. He remains unchanged by both praise and opposition.

Reflection

  1. How do I personally process criticism?

  2. What anchors help me remain steady when leadership feels exposed?
